How School Makes Kids Less Intelligent?

You Can Trade Hours For Dollars, Or, You Can Trade Ideas for Millions

Young people are capable of doing much more today than ever in the history of mankind. The best way to predict the future is to create it.

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences.

Eddy Zhong, successful technology entrepreneur, dives into the truth behind our K-12 education system. Eddy strongly believes that the education system diminishes creativity and confines children to a certain path towards success. He contends that kids are taught to believe college is a necessary step in life and that it is mandatory to achieve one's goals. His talk challenges the commonly held beliefs of our entire education structure.

'If You Don't Build Your Dream, Someone Will Hire You To Help Build Theirs'

As a student, we always have big dreams, we wish we have more money to enjoy life, and travel around the world with friends. And perhaps make adequate preparation for future our future.
Unfortunately, as a student, we often face lack of working experience and very limited networking contact.

And it's not easy to balance job and study at the same time. Therefore, it's getting tough to achieve your dream.

Tough Times Never Last,
But Tough People Do

1. Spare time: Initially you’ll work longer hours for less pay.  But if you do it right, you could start to master your schedule and the freedom that being an entrepreneur provides is awesome.
2. Job security: Have you ever been laid off, downsized, or fired?  If you have, you get this. With entrepreneurship the security lies in the fact you are your own boss. You run the show and don't have to worry about getting let go.
3. Doing good: While this isn’t exclusive to entrepreneurs, it’s definitely a perk. You control where your company profits go and if you choose, you can give allocate your financial gains to others. You can sponsor a charity, a non-profit or just personally give back to the community.  This is quite honestly one of the best parts of being an entrepreneur.
4. Better Lifestyle: You can control your lifestyle and your schedule, financial independence. Money doesn't buy happiness, but it does make finding happiness much easier.
5. You can be creative: It's up to you to decide how you run your business, sell or which services will offer, that's exciting! Knowing that you've decided to take control of your own future is empowering.
